← The One Dollar AI Experiment
Terms
Last updated October 28, 2026.
These terms cover The One Dollar AI Experiment, a personal project by Nate. Questions and refund requests go to theonedollaraiexperiment@gmail.com.
What this is
This is a voluntary payment to one person for the materials below. Contributions go to Nate personally. This is not a charity, a donation to a nonprofit, an investment, or a promise of any financial return. You do not receive equity, a share of later payments, or any right to profit if a lot of people take part.
What you can receive
- $1: a reusable AI prompt template related to this experiment, sent by email.
- $5 or $10: that prompt template, plus an email about the experiment’s results when there are results to share. Paying more is extra support. It does not buy a different financial outcome.
The homepage describes the same tiers. Venmo is the way the experiment is set up to be paid. A card button is shown only when one has been configured, and it is a secondary option.
How payment works
- Venmo. A button opens Venmo ready to pay the business profile @ODAIE3, with the amount and the note “ODAIE Experiment” filled in. Check the account name, then pay. This website does not see your Venmo password. After you pay, submit the claim form with your email, Venmo username, and amount, or email those details. The claim is saved as unverified. It does not prove the payment.
- Card, only if a button is shown. That button opens Stripe Checkout. Stripe charges the card. This website never sees the card number. Nate still matches the Stripe payment before sending anything.
Delivery is not automatic. Nate matches the payment himself and emails the materials. Signing up for updates is not a payment, and it does not move the participant counter.
The public counter
The number on the homepage is the count of paid participants Nate has personally verified. It starts at zero. Email signups, shares, page views, and a claim that has not been matched to a payment do not increase it. Unmatched payments are not counted. Refunded payments are removed when the number is next updated. Nate changes the number by editing the site after verification, so it can lag behind the newest payment. It is not a live feed from Venmo or from Stripe.
Refunds
Email theonedollaraiexperiment@gmail.com to ask for a refund. If the materials for your tier have not been delivered, Nate will refund the full amount you paid. Stripe refunds go back to the card through Stripe. Venmo refunds go back to the Venmo profile that paid. If you already received the materials, say what went wrong and Nate will resolve it in good faith. Write first, before opening a payment dispute, so the refund can go back directly.
Email updates
The update form is optional. Your address is stored as a pending request. The form does not confirm the address or start a mailing by itself. You can stop updates on the homepage or by emailing UNSUBSCRIBE. Messages about matching a payment, delivering materials, or a refund are separate from that optional list. What we store is described on the privacy page.
Please don’t send sensitive data
Do not send passwords, full card numbers, bank details, or screenshots that show them. Do not submit someone else’s email address.
The experiment can change or stop
Nate may change the site, the tiers, or the milestone targets, or stop the experiment. Materials already paid for will still be delivered or refunded as described above. A goal on the site, including one million participants, is a goal. It is not a promise that the goal will be reached.
No extra warranty
The prompt template and any results update are part of a personal experiment. They are not professional, financial, or legal advice. Nate does not promise a particular result from the prompt, or that the site will be available without interruption.
